What you believe: Hebrews 11

Early this morning, around 4:00 a.m., I awakened with these words pressing on my heart: What You believe!

It came quietly, but with weight. Not as a sermon. Not as a lesson to teach. More as a confirmation of what has been growing within.

It has been a long time since the Holy Spirit has brought me a prose to write. By faith I began writing what I heard and what grew within me. Line by line, the thought became a beautiful prose — simple, direct, and anchored in Hebrews 11.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hebrews 11:1 KJV

I am understanding more and more what my mother taught me about having no doubt. Not simply saying we believe, but allowing belief to become the ground we stand on, the way we move, and have our being in the world. The hope that lies within reassuring us, bringing us what we could not see before, but now standing from within.

The prose is meant for you to sit with for a moment. Open your heart to the seed of belief.

Let the words seep into your heart and mind. Let them cause you to reflect. Let your belief grow within.

Amen and mahalo for this. It was right on time as I have been struggling with what I believe is the place God wants me to be and do. I’m asking for prayer as I strengthen and stand on my belief in God.
