Before the butterfly is revealed to the world, there is a hidden place a space for transformation — the SOUP!


I'm in the Soup!


The space before the butterfly reveals what is being created in the cocoon to the world. Like the butterfly, I’m working on something. But honestly, the work began long before today. In fact, Titus tells us it was before the world began.


In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; Titus 1:2 KJV

I'm in the Soup!


I'm just fine in the soup. This space has been designed — curated, in fact — for the will of God to be done in my life on earth as it is in heaven. So, I’m seeking every day to walk in God’s ordered steps for me.


The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Psalm 37:23 KJV

I’m forming in the Soup!


But I’m forming in great expectation. Every day brings a new mercy. I rise in prayer, rejoicing, because this is the day the Lord has made.


This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

  Psalm 118:24 KJV


It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

Lamentations 3:22-23 KJV

I’m in the Soup!


But I’m in it praying. As Psalm 118 asks, I ask, Lord, send now prosperity.


Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity. Psalm 118:25 KJV


Prosperity is not just financial gain. Prosperity is salvation, peace, joy, healing, virtue, praise, strength, truth, and love.


Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.  

3 John 1:2 KJV


The soup may be ugly, but it will yield forth a peaceable fruit of righteousness. Meaning, we need the soup. We need the pruning, the correction, and the shedding of what’s not needed.


Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. 

 Hebrews 12:11 KJV


I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

I’m in the Soup


I’m here because what God has for me, bitterness, resentment, an unmade-up mind, and unforgiveness are not wanted or needed.


Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;

My soul must be able to hold the thoughts and plans that God has for me because they are boundless and limitless.


For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

I’m in the Soup!


Because this is what a destiny chaser understands. The race is not given to the swift, nor the battle to the strong. Sometimes the strongest thing we can do is endure the process, trust God in the hidden place, and let Him finish what He has started.


I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong…

 Ecclesiastes 9:11 KJV


But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

 Matthew 24:13 KJV


Sometimes along the way, we find ourselves in the soup but cocooned safe in His arms.

The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms... Deuteronomy 33:27 KJV

I’m in the Soup!


But I am not despising this space.

I am being formed.I am being pruned. I am being corrected. I am being strengthened. I am being prepared. I am being aligned.


But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. 

 James 1:4 KJV


The world may not see what God is forming yet, but God knows what He is doing. I may be in the soup, but I am also in His will, in His mercy, in His timing, and in His hands.


He hath made everything beautiful in his time...

Ecclesiastes 3:11 KJV


I’m in the Soup.


And I’m fine in the soup.


Because what God is forming will be revealed in His time, and until then, I will keep praying, keep rejoicing, keep seeking, keep building, and keep walking in the ordered steps of the Lord.


Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: 

Philippians 1:6 KJV
