We Are Not Alone

Psalms 139, written so eloquently by King David, reassures us that we are never alone.
Lord, keep me!
My heart is filled with gratitude to God, our Father, for always being with me. To know He searches my heart. In my daily prayer, I ask Him to keep me throughout the day, to keep my mind and thoughts. He already knows our every thought, our worries, our whispered prayers, our inward battles.
Lord, surround me!
There is nowhere we can go where He's not already there. He goes before us. He walks behind us. He goes before us. Knowing his love surrounds us reminds us daily that we are not alone. His love reassures us in times of uncertainty. Whenever we are weary, He is with us.
Lord, hold me!
Even on my best days or in my lowest moments, his hand holds me. That includes the moments when I feel strong and "put together," soaring like an eagle, and the ones when I feel overwhelmed. God's presence remains the same. He is light in every season, even in the night season.
Lord, cover me!
The Holy Spirit is always with us. Psalm 139 reminds me that God was with me even before I was born; when I was in my mother's womb, He was already covering me. God made us fearfully and wonderfully.
We are not alone!
Not for one single day! Whether it's in times of our grief, not in our waiting, not in our searching for God's purpose for our lives. God is with us! God the Father, the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit dwell within.
