Life is a journey! Many of us yearn for a sense of purpose and fulfillment. At least, I know I do! I'm constantly seeking the thoughts and plans God has for me. I look for indications that I'm headed in the right direction. I commit my works and plans to God that my thoughts may be established. (Proverbs 16:13)
If you long to discover and pursue your true calling or purpose, the path that leads all of us to our destiny, you feel the same. The pursuit goes beyond mere ambition—it becomes a relentless chase, an unwavering commitment to unlocking our highest potential.
In this blog post, I will continue to delve into the profound statement, "A destiny chaser desires the thoughts that God has for them." This is the focus of my book, Destiny Chaser. exploring the yearning for divine guidance and the unwavering faith in seeking God's purpose in our lives.
Understanding the Destiny Chaser
The term "destiny chaser" embodies a mindset of active pursuit and exploration. It describes individuals who refuse to settle for mediocrity, who believe there is something greater awaiting them. These individuals are driven by a deep inner desire to fulfill their unique purpose and make a significant impact on the world around them.
Chasing Your Destiny Comes from Deep Desires
At the heart of the statement lies a potent force—desire. The destiny chaser's desire is not a fleeting wish but a burning passion that fuels their journey. It represents a relentless pursuit of something beyond themselves, a longing to align their lives with a higher purpose. For me this comes with the understanding I found in Ephesians.
According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will
Ephesians 1: 4 - 5 KJV
Unveiling God's Thoughts
At the core to the destiny chaser's pursuit is the belief that God, the divine chief orchestrator and architect. He holds thoughts specifically crafted for each individual. I'm amazed that God thoughts pre-dates the foundation of the world. He had thoughts concerning me before He created Eve! WOW!
These "thoughts" encompass a profound understanding of one's potential, purpose, and the path to be traveled. They represent God's guidance, intentions, and blueprint for an individual's life. I believe these are in direct alignment and proportionate with the gifts we have been given.
The Divine Connection
For the destiny chaser, is the center of every decision they make. Seeking God's wisdom and guidance as they believe ensures they fulfill their journey's purpose. It is in this connection with the divine that the destiny chaser seeks to unravel their purpose and align their journey accordingly. I believe in having a sincere open relationship with God. Personally this has come from studying God's Word, a committed prayer practice, a meditation and devotional space, and seeking help from others who are wise. I know God has divinely connected me with these individuals in my life that have acted as destiny propellers and cheerleaders. These thoughts I express more extensively in Destiny Chaser.
Embracing the Journey
The destiny chaser's pursuit is not a passive, but an active engagement with their destiny. It involves seeking, listening, and discerning the thoughts that God has for them. This process requires an open heart, a willingness to surrender, and a deep trust in the divine guidance that unfolds along the way.
Living in Alignment
When the destiny chaser embraces the thoughts that God has for them, they enter a state of alignment. This is easier said than done! It is often hard for me to surrender my thoughts and ideas to what I can see are not necessarily Gods'. For example, I have gone on many interviews that did not result in employment. I would be disappointed even though I understand that was not the door God had for me to walk through. Nevertheless, I still had some level of disappointment and bitterness.
This alignment becomes the compass that guides their decisions, actions, and relationships. It shapes their perspective, priorities, and ultimately the impact they make in the world.
The journey of a destiny chaser is a courageous and awe-inspiring endeavor. It is an acknowledgement of the yearning for a purpose-driven life and the relentless pursuit to uncover one's unique destiny. My life changed when I began to desire and seek the thoughts that God has for me.
